3. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

The relationship between the user and BISWA.org shall be governed by the Laws of India. The user and BISWA.org agree to submit to the personal and exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located at Sambalpur, India. For the sake of clarity, a “user” shall be deemed to be the person who gets an access to the BISWA.org website for any reason whatsoever.

 2 . Online Donations Policy

Before submitting your online donation, please review the details to ensure that your details and the amount of your donation are correct. This will help us to avoid the substantial time and work involved in rectifying any errors.

  1. Donation of Money

A.     The Board of Trustees recognizes the importance of BISWA in the community and encourages donors to direct monetary donations to the Organisation. 
 
B.     Gifts of money for the welfare measures targeted to the poorest of the poor are accepted by Organisation with the understanding that the Organisation retains the right to select the activity it deems appropriate for execution in the field. However, suggestions from the donor are always welcome.

C.     Large monetary gifts in the form of outright donations or bequests are always welcome.  Individuals considering such gifts are encouraged to speak to the Chairman of the Organisation.  

  1.       Donor Recognition

A.     Memorials will be placed on books of record upon the request of the donor.

B.     A donor recognition plaque will be maintained in a public area in the organisation. It will display the names of individuals or organizations who have donated $500.00 or more to the Organisation. It may also display the names of individuals or organizations that the Board of Trustees feels deserving for reasons other than money. The plaque will be maintained by the Organisation Staff and will be updated whenever necessary.

D.     A list of the names of all donors will be maintained by the Organisation staff.

E.     Written acknowledgment of accepted donations is the responsibility of the Chief Manager Finance of the organisation.

  1. Donation Errors & Refund - Policy

Please notify us within 7 days of any error made in the amount of an online donation. A request for a change to the amount of the donation should be made in writing.
Please include in your request the details of the initial donation including the date, amount, name of the donor, the tax invoice number, transaction identification number and the nature of the error.
Any tax invoice issued for an incorrect amount will become void and invalid, and we will issue a new tax invoice for the amount of the corrected donation.
