Mamata Sahu is 29 years old woman, Mangarajpur, Khandapada, district of Nayagara.  She is living with her husband Mr.Prakash Chandra Sahu and her children. She is now credible partner of her development and most of the street people have a great appreciation for her initiative in her ensuring a sustainable livelihood option for her family. Now she is very happy of being a SHG member of BISWA.Before joining the SHG she was a house wife and she was very poor. She could not fulfill her basic needs. With the intervention of BISWA She was aware about BISWA micro finance loan and about Self Help Group. She took loan Rs.8, 000.00 from BISWA through her SHG. And she decided to start one small tailoring shop. BISWA provided her training about sewing on Saya, Blouse, Salaware suit etc. Mamata started her tailoring shop and she was sewing clothes on her stitching machine.

She earned around Rs.1000.00 per a month from making and selling Saya, Blouse salawar suit. Today, Mamata has a good image within her village community.  Although her tailor shop continues to do well, Mamata believes that whatever she earns should be spent for children’s education   Even so, Mamata has managed to repay her loan.
