BISWA participates in state level RTI camp. PDF Print E-mail

In a week long camp on Right to Information (RTI) organized by Odisha Soochana Adhikar Abhijan held at Bhubaneswar from April to May, the Chairman of BISWA Mr. K. C. Malick participated as a resource persons. He is also one of the advisors of the organisation.
Eminent personalities, conscious citizens, educationists from all over the state including 27 NGOs took part in the programme and came with valuable suggestions to make RTI stronger. Such an act was necessary on the very day when the country got independence, the participants said.
Mr. K. C. Malick the Chairman of BISWA appealed people through the seminar to use RTI only for constructive purposes. With RTI in force, a common man has become more powerful like any senior official in the administration, Mr. Malick said. The very aim of RTI is to bring transparency in public life and administration. If this could be achieved, then theĀ  very aim behind RTI could be served, Mr Malick said.
On the concluding day, Mr. Prafulla Samal minister of Information and Public Relations department in government of Orissa, CH Pratap K Mishra retired judge of Orissa High Court; Mr. Rabi Das Senior Journalist and Mr. Chitta Behera RTI expert were present. They appealed to make every common man of the state and country well aware of RTI. They also appreciated the efforts undertaken by Odisha Soochana Adhikar Abhijan.
